About The Role

We are expanding our IT team with 2 Apprentices. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT whilst working alongside experienced professionals and service providers. You will be based at our Central Services Hub at Hesley Hall, Tickhill, but may be required to travel between different sites within our Group so a full UK Driving License is required. This role offers the opportunity to build a successful IT career in conjunction with training provided by our apprenticeship provider, working towards an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification.

You will be involved in supporting and developing our internal and external IT systems and applications, whilst providing a high level of customer service to internal customers.

Key Role Responsibilities:
  1. System Maintenance: Support the IT team in maintaining and updating computer systems, networks, and servers.
  2. Technical Support: Assist in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues for end-users.
  3. Installation and Configuration: Help with the installation and configuration of new hardware and software.
  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions in the helpdesk system.
  5. Training: Assist in providing basic training and support to users on IT systems and software applications.
  6. Security: Aid in implementing and managing IT security measures to protect company data and systems.
  7. Project Support: Participate in IT projects, contributing to planning, testing, and deployment phases.

About You

  • We are seeking candidates with a genuine interest in IT and related technologies.
  • GCSEs in grades A*-C /9-4 or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles. Working knowledge of Office / Microsoft 365.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
