Job description

Our client is looking to recruit an IT & Systems Coordinator to join their lovely team based in Carnforth.

The IT & Systems Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, support, and continual improvement of IT infrastructure and systems across the business. This role would be the first point of contact for IT and business system-related requests, coordinates support across multiple locations, maintains IT hardware and software, manages supplier relationships, and supports onboarding and training. The coordinator is proactive in identifying opportunities to enhance systems and processes while delivering a high standard of service to internal users.

You must be able to drive as you will be required to attend meetings at their other sites, Guildford, Chelsea and Knutsford

Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT and business system-related queries and incidents across UK and North America locations
  • Contribute to the improvement of the organisation's overall IT architecture by identifying and implementing initiatives that modernise, standardise, and enhance performance and security
  • To lead or participate in IT-related projects across infrastructure, systems, and services—from planning through to execution
  • Manage, document, and analyse support tickets and requests to identify trends and recommend improvements
  • Deliver timely and effective resolution of technical issues, escalating as needed
  • Prioritising and managing multiple incidents, requests, and projects at any time
  • Responsible for the maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and upgrades of IT equipment across the organisation
  • Perform regular IT asset management and lifecycle tracking
  • Monitor network performance and assist with routine maintenance to ensure connectivity and stability
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining firewalls, antivirus, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with IT service providers and hardware/software suppliers
  • To setup, onboard and provide training to key systems for new starters
  • Proactive to help develop IT, systems, and processes related to multiple departments of the organisation
  • Create and maintain documentation for internal IT procedures, configurations, and knowledge base content


Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite
  • Hands-on experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and tools (e.g., antivirus, encryption, endpoint protection)
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network troubleshooting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and improvement
  • Candidate requirements:
  • Previous experience in an IT support, network, or systems coordination role
  • Previous experience or understanding surrounding ERP & CRM systems
  • Excellent technical and IT related skills
  • Good and broad understanding of PC hardware and software
  • Driving License is required as there will be a need to travel to sites across the UK
