Exciting Opportunity - IT and Computing Lecturer (Temporary, Flexible Hours)

We are currently working with a well-established further education college in Croydon, South London to recruit a knowledgeable and enthusiastic IT and Computing Lecturer for a temporary role starting September 2025. This role offers flexible hours (part-time or full-time) and the chance to deliver high-quality education in a supportive environment.

About the Role

You will teach a range of IT and Computing topics including computer systems, programming, networking, and cybersecurity to learners at various levels. The role involves preparing and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and supporting learners to develop the skills they need for further study or employment in the tech sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver IT and Computing lessons aligned with curriculum standards
  • Develop lesson plans and engaging learning resources
  • Monitor and assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support learners with different abilities and backgrounds
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
What We're Looking For:
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in IT, Computing, or a related field
  • Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
  • Experience teaching IT and Computing, ideally in FE or secondary education
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Passionate about technology and education with a learner-focused approach
