Job Title: IT Administrator
Location: Central London
Assignment: Permanent Full Time (Office based, 3 days p/w)

We are working with a global IT Consultancy who partner with organisations to deliver innovative projects across various sectors.
We are seeking a highly proactive IT Administrator with excellent organisational and people skills. You will have a strong understanding of IT systems and previously supported a mid-sized company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Desktop & Technical Support: Provide day-to-day support for end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Networking & Server Infrastructure: Manage and maintain networking systems, including switches, routers, and firewalls, ensuring uptime and connectivity for all users. Administer and support server infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and timely updates.
- Anti-Virus & Security Management: Administer and monitor anti-virus solutions across the organization to protect the network from potential threats, performing regular security audits and updates.
- Ticketing System Management: Utilize and manage the internal ticketing system to track and resolve IT-related issues, ensuring all service requests are addressed and completed in a timely manner.
- Office 365 Administration: Manage user accounts, licenses, and access control within Office 365, ensuring the platform is functioning efficiently for the entire organization.
- Active Directory Management: Administer Active Directory to ensure proper access and security for users, groups, and resources, including handling permissions, security policies, and group memberships.
- Virtualization (VMware & Hyper-V): Maintain and manage virtual environments using VMware and Hyper-V to ensure a robust, scalable infrastructure.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Oversee the management of mobile devices across the company, ensuring secure access to internal systems and data.
- Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT systems, policies, and procedures. Provide regular reports to management on system performance, support trends, and improvements.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal teams, departments, and external vendors, delivering clear and effective communication regarding IT issues, solutions, and ongoing projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in IT administration or technical support, ideally within an IT consultancy or similar environment.
- Strong experience in desktop support, networking, server infrastructure, and system administration.
- Hands-on experience with VMware, Hyper-V, and virtualization technologies.
- Proficient in Office 365 administration, including user account management, licenses, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Active Directory management and security policies.
- Strong knowledge of anti-virus systems, security practices, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar platforms).
- Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) platforms and mobile security practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in relevant technologies such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), or equivalent.
- Experience in an SAP environment or with SAP systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
