Overview

Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for an Issue Management Specialist to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the identification, tracking, and resolution of integration issues across complex systems. This role is not hands-on in nature, but requires strong governance and coordination.
  • Ensure consistent adherence to established processes, effective utilisation of Issue Management Tools, and clear and transparent reporting to Senior Stakeholders.
  • Drive actions based on clear KPIs around Defect Management with Stakeholders across the company.
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and professional presentations to communicate status and progress.
Skills Required
  • Strong knowledge of Issue and Defect Management Processes and Tools.
  • Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis Techniques and Problem-Solving Methodologies.
  • Ability to develop, interpret, and present metrics, KPIs and performance dashboards.
  • Solid understanding of software integration principles and dependencies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead discussions on complex or sensitive matters.
  • High attention to detail and process discipline.
  • Ability to identify areas of weakness and where help is needed.
  • Experience working within Structured Project Governance Frameworks (e.g., PMO, Programme Teams).
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
  • Ability to maintain and update issue registers and tracking systems with accuracy and rigour.
  • Ability to facilitate regular issue review meetings, ensuring clear ownership and timely follow-up.
Education
  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant experience
