Job summary

Cambridge Aerospace is a fast‑growing defence technology company developing advanced aerospace and defence systems. We are looking for an experienced leader to own and develop our ISMS and embed practical security across our rapidly expanding business.

You will work with IT, Security Engineering and the wider business to protect information, strengthen our security culture and support international growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing and running an ISMS, including scope, policies and risk processes.
• Strong practical knowledge of ISO 27001 and translating security requirements into actions.
• Ownership and influencing stakeholders to improve security behaviours across an organisation.
• Must have experience within the Defence space
• Understanding and experiences of UK Security clearances

Responsibilities

• Own, operate and improve ISMS, policies and risk management processes.
• Lead ISO 27001 certification and ongoing assurance, audits and corrective actions.
• Oversee supplier security assessments and customer assurance responses.
• Collaborate with teams to assess risks, define controls and drive improvements.
• Foster a positive security culture with practical awareness activities.
