The Island Security Guard supports the Security Manager in all security matters and oversees the safe embarkation and disembarkation of guests and crew at the resort. Responsibilities include access control, security screenings, enforcing resort regulations, routine patrols, monitoring checkpoints, maintaining security equipment, responding to alarms, assisting guests and crew, and handling emergency duties as outlined in the Resort's Assembly Plan, always maintaining a professional demeanor reflecting our commitment to excellence.

You will report to: Island Safety and Security Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Security Manager with all security-related matters to ensure a safe environment for guests and crew.
  • Oversee the embarkation and disembarkation processes, including access control at resort checkpoints.
  • Perform security screenings, including pat-downs and physical searches of luggage and carry-ons, using hand-wand equipment as needed.
  • Enforce resort regulations and report any violations or suspicious activities.
  • Conduct routine patrols of guest and crew areas to ensure safety and order.
  • Monitor checkpoints, verify IDs, and manage access to prevent unauthorized entry.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies or high traffic situations at checkpoints, coordinating with security personnel.
  • Preserve evidence at accident or crime scenes and assist in emergency situations, including fire alarms.
  • Maintain security equipment and ensure checkpoint readiness.
  • Perform emergency duties as specified in the Resort's Assembly Plan, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in security screening.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • Training in self-defense and physical restraint techniques is helpful.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in verbal and written English.
  • Experience with screening equipment, including hand wands and metal detectors.
  • Experience in police or military police is highly beneficial.
