Job summary
MBP Door Solutions is seeking an Ironmongery Estimator to join our team in the UK. You will review drawings and tender docs to produce accurate ironmongery quotations for timber door sets across UK projects, ensuring compliance with fire, accessibility and British Standards.
You will also develop comprehensive ironmongery schedules and work with architects, contractors and suppliers to optimise value engineering.
Qualifications
- Experience in architectural ironmongery and timber door sets.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications and tender docs.
- Proven capability to prepare accurate quotations and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Review drawings, schedules, specs, and tender docs.
- Prepare detailed ironmongery quotations for UK projects.
- Specify solutions for timber door sets meeting regs and standards.
- Produce ironmongery schedules using scheduling software.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
- Source pricing and technical info from top manufacturers.
- Maintain records of quotations and project correspondence.
- Support sales during negotiations and order conversions.
- Keep up to date with building regulations and standards.
- Undertake other duties to support company objectives.
