Job summary

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) is seeking an Assessment Manager for the Healthcare team. The role covers diagnostic disciplines including physiological sciences, diagnostic imaging and medical physics and engineering.

You will lead assessment teams, establish the assessment approach and ensure quality management systems are assessed to meet accreditation standards. The role requires a strong quality management background, customer-focused service, and the ability to travel

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IQIPS or Imaging/medical physics and engineering standards; ISO/IEC 15189 awareness desirable.
• Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Hands-on experience and broad knowledge of quality management systems.
• Experience in organisation auditing or assessment.
• Degree level education; relevant discipline considered if not.

• Selecting assessment teams.
• Establishing the assessment approach.
• Leading the assessment and coordinating the team.
• Assessment of quality management systems.
• Collating and reporting each assessment.
• Progressing each assessment project from start to finish.
