Job summary

Shaw Trust is seeking an IPS Service Manager to oversee the delivery and performance of the IPS contract across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, and Kirklees. The role is home-based with regular area meetings and travel within the delivery region.

You will manage Team Leaders, ensure IPS fidelity, and build partnerships with NHS trusts, commissioners and referral sources, driving performance and better outcomes for participants.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing IPS services and fidelity to the IPS model.
  • Track record of success in target-driven environments and contractual management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with health-related participants or needs.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for enthusiastic and driven IPS Service Managers to join our team — subject to the successful award of new contracts in West Yorkshire covering Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield & Kirklees.

About The Role

As an IPS Service Manager, you will oversee the day to day delivery and overall performance of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) contract. Combining vision and direction with strong relationship building and people management skills, you will take accountability for project performance across our own delivery area. You will need to have an expert understanding of Individual Placement and Support, the fidelity scale and how that interacts with the IPS fidelity manual.

You will be responsible for managing Team Leader(s) which will involve providing regular supervision around IPS practice issues, as well as support around complex staffing and caseload issues. Whilst this is a home-based role you will be expected to be in your area of delivery for face-to-face meetings for at least half the week.

Your role will involve building partnerships with local NHS Trusts, employment providers and referral sources as well as maintaining partnerships with stakeholders and commissioners.

You will work in partnership with local health team managers, ensuring the IPS Service is embedded in clinical settings, community groups and referral partners. You will also build positive working relationships with external partners, most notable NHS England and IPS Grow.

This is a home based role with regular travel into the delivery area for team/management meetings, Commissioner meetings and stakeholder engagement.

Recruitment Timeline

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre on:

  • 14th or 15th October - Leeds
  • 20th or 21st October - Huddersfield

Should we be successful in winning this contract, IPS Service Managers will start induction early November.

  • Lead and motivate a full contract team to deliver and exceptional IPS service to local participants..
  • Provide regular supervision and coaching to maintain quality standards and improve outcomes.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and fidelity measures, implementing improvement plans where needed.
  • Build strong relationships with Commissioners, NHS teams, referral partners, and local stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems and processes to enhance service delivery.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with local NHS Trusts, employment providers, referral sources, and commissioners.
  • Developing positive relationships with external stakeholders, including NHS England and IPS Grow.
