A leading NHS Trust in London is seeking a Part Time Employment Specialist to support individuals with mental health conditions in their pursuit of paid employment. The role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide coaching, advice, and proactive engagement with employers. Ideal candidates will have experience in mental health support and a strong understanding of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) principles. This position requires a commitment to assisting service users effectively and promoting their employment goals.
We are inviting applications for the role of Part Time (18.75 hours per week) Employment Specialist as part of expanding our Individual Placement and Support (IPS) team in line with the Long Term Plan for Mental Health. You will provide advice, coaching and support to clients with mental health conditions who wish to pursue paid employment, in line with IPS principles. You will be integrated with a multidisciplinary community mental health team, providing the employment support element of the overall care plan. You will work closely with mental health professionals, employers and other agencies to support the employment goals of service users with mental health problems. You will be working for a large NHS Trust in London which supplies healthcare to one of the most diverse populations in the UK, and which has been rated as Good by the CQC. Our IPS team aims to provide strong support for people seeking work and to achieve good fidelity with IPS Grow, which rates IPS services across the UK.
