Job summary

Southdown’s Work & Wellbeing Service helps people access treatment for mental health support and return to work. As an Employment Specialist, you’ll deliver the IPS model, guiding clients to sustainable paid employment with employer links in the local area.

You’ll work in partnership with Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust, co-located with the Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, and participate in remote and community-based activities to support diverse client needs.

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to adapt to clients' needs.
• Understanding of employment challenges for people with mental health issues.
• Knowledge of co-production and personalised care approaches.
• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be paid for by Southdown.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the IPS model to help clients secure sustainable paid employment.
• Build positive relationships with local employers to create opportunities.
• Work in partnership with Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust and co-located teams.
• Provide person-centred guidance and support within community settings.
