Job summary

Trigon Recruitment Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Connect to Work/IPS Employment Specialist to join our supported employment team delivering high-quality support across County Durham. You will work with individuals facing health conditions and barriers, using the IPS model to help them secure and sustain meaningful employment, building links with employers and health professionals.

This community-based role requires travel across County Durham and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

Experience supporting individuals to obtain, retain or progress in employment.
Strong understanding of supported employment principles and person-centred practice.
Experience managing a caseload and working towards targets.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of up to 25 participants.
Build trusted, supportive relationships with individuals.
Develop personalised employment action plans.
Deliver one-to-one support that promotes progression into sustainable employment.
Support participants to overcome health, disability, wellbeing and employment barriers.
Provide ongoing in-work support to promote job retention and career progression.
Engage with employers to identify opportunities and promote inclusive recruitment.
