Job summary

Royal Borough of Greenwich is seeking an Employment Specialist to deliver high‑quality, IPS‑based employment support for residents with barriers to work. You will co‑produce action plans, provide CV and interview coaching, and work with clinical teams to ensure integrated, person‑centred services.

You will spend most time co‑located with professionals, help negotiate workplace adjustments, and support participants for up to 12 months with ongoing mentoring and group sessions.

Qualifications

• IPS/SEQF supported employment experience.
• Knowledge of Equality Act 2010 and inclusive recruitment.
• Vocational profiling and action planning.
• Coaching, mentoring, and person-centred support.
• Advocating for participants and solving barriers to work.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline, personalised employment advice and guidance to job seekers.
• Complete vocational profiles and co-produce tailored action plans.
• Deliver rapid job search, CV help, interview coaching and in-work development.
• Identify support needs, including workplace adjustments and benefits.
• Build partnerships with community hubs, job centres and voluntary groups.
• Spend majority of time with clinical and social care teams for integrated support.
• Support residents into work through job matching, employer engagement and follow‑along support.
• Maintain employer relationships and negotiate workplace adjustments.
• Provide coaching and retention support for up to 12 months.
• Deliver 1:1 and group employability sessions and contribute to targets.
