Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an IP Core Transport Specialist to configure, manage and troubleshoot multi‑vendor networks (Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, HPE, F5, Fortinet) in our UK infrastructure. You will handle IP/MPLS, BGP, VRF, LDP, OSPF, ISIS, HSRP/VRRP, and firewall/security tasks, with strong focus on fault management and change control.

Daily responsibilities include user management via Cisco ISE, Windows AD and Linux systems, building test environments, IP design and matrix creation, and ensuring

Qualifications

• CCNP or higher certification required.
• Experience in ISP/Telecom networks.
• Strong IP/MPLS, BGP, VRF, LDP, OSPF/ISIS, HSRP/VRRP, and firewall skills on major vendors.
• Experience with F5 VIP/SNAT/iRule and policy configuration.
• Knowledge of Nexus 9K/Catalyst 3K switch config (VTP, STP, DHCP).
• DNS management with Infoblox; user management via Windows AD and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Configure and fault-manage multi-vendor network infrastructure.
• Manage users via Cisco ISE, Windows AD and Linux.
• Analyse service/change requests and set up lab test environments.
• Build IP design, IP allocation and communication matrices.
• Ensure integration with test networks and performance monitoring.
