We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our IP Disputes team in London, focusing on our Patent Disputes practice within the Life Sciences and Technology sectors. This role has arisen following recent high-profile partner arrivals and involves some of the leading patent cases in UK Courts.
Our IP Disputes team is renowned for high-profile, high-value IP litigation with an international scope, including portfolio management for globally recognized brands. We handle cases in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, and General Court (CJEU), covering patents, designs, copyright, passing off, and trade mark infringement.
We serve clients in sectors such as life sciences, digital business, transport & automotive, retail & consumer, and energy. Our sector-focused approach ensures deep expertise and understanding of our clients' specific issues.
This position primarily involves working with and supporting Will James, a Partner specializing in complex technical life sciences and technology patent disputes. Will joined Osborne Clarke in April 2023 and is recognized in key legal and IP directories.
Led by Arty Rajendra, our IP Disputes team includes 6 Partners, 2 Associate Directors, 3 Senior Associates, 7 Associates, 2 Trainee Solicitors, 4 Paralegals, and 1 Formalities Assistant. The role will collaborate closely with Will James, Tim Harris, Trevor Crosse, and Arty on patent matters.
Applicants should have knowledge and experience in Patent Disputes from a reputable firm, with relevant studies or qualifications in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, immunology, or similar fields. We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience in this area.
