Job Description:

A leading US law firm is seeking an Associate with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience to join its growing IP/IT and Commercial Transactions team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, complex, and cross-border matters across a variety of industries, including advanced technologies, luxury goods, and the broader corporate sector.

Key Requirements:

  1. 3–5 years’ PQE in a transactional IP/IT practice at a leading firm (magic circle, silver circle, US firm, or specialist boutique).
  2. Expertise in transactional IP and technology matters, including commercial contracts and IP licensing.
  3. Experience advising on AI and emerging technologies, including AI regulation and compliance.
  4. Data protection expertise, particularly GDPR and UK DPA matters.
  5. Strong academic background.
  6. Ambitious, entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of commercial awareness.
  7. Willingness to mentor junior team members and take on a leadership role.
  8. Excellent client-facing skills and a collaborative approach.

The Role:

The successful candidate will join a highly integrated UK, EU, and US team, working on some of the most novel and complex international transactions in the market. Key areas of focus include:

  1. High-value corporate and commercial transactions across a range of sectors.
