We’re seeking an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of the strategic direction, development and full lifecycle management of our industry-leading IP camera portfolio, including our renowned COEX range.

Duties and Responsibilities

Principal Accountabilities

  • Product Roadmap: Develop the roadmap for Synectics IP cameras and certified COEX cameras, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to understand customer needs, market trends and the competitive landscape.
  • Product Development: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, including defining product requirements and working closely with engineering teams.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, engineering and customer support teams to ensure cohesive product development and successful product launches.
  • Product Expert: Act as a source of expert product knowledge to both internal and external customers. Highlighting USPs and answering customer technical questions.
  • Customer Insights: Gather and analyse customer feedback to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor product performance using data and user feedback, making data-driven decisions to enhance product offerings.
  • Innovation: Drive initiatives to introduce new features and improve existing products, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of technology. Particular focus on video analytics technology and the use of AI.
  • OEM Partner Management: Support the management of OEM partners to ensure quality and timely delivery of components and services to the specifications required.
  • Compliance: Ensure all COEX products meet relevant certification standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure regional certifications are acquired to sell and operate in those regions.
  • Sales Support: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of sales documentation, product bulletins, tips and tricks, and product compatibility matrices. Communication: Communicate regular product updates with the wider business.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience

  • Experience: Proven experience in product management, specifically with IP cameras, hazardous-area cameras, and thermal cameras.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and team collaboration abilities.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of IP camera technology, Hazardous Area certification standards, thermal imaging technology, networking and software development processes.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and can adapt to practices optimising team practices as required.

This role is crucial for driving product innovation and ensuring the company's IP camera products and COEX IP/Thermal cameras meet market demands and business goals.
