KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions LTD is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for a fast-growing technology company in Newton Aycliffe. You will lead the software engineering function and help expand the product portfolio and market presence.

You will manage a team of up to eight engineers, combining hands-on technical work with people leadership while shaping the future of embedded software in connected IoT devices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software teams through complex technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of embedded C/C++ and RTOS.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum and DevOps.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and people development.
• IoT, cloud platforms and cybersecurity experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of up to eight software/firmware engineers.
• Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle from concept to deployment.
• Provide technical leadership across embedded systems and IoT projects.
• Collaborate with electronics and product design teams; ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
