Job description

Summary: Surfline is looking for an iOS Engineer to help evolve our iOS apps. As an iOS Engineer, you are expected to be a problem-solving, product-building, forward-thinking engineer.

You’re driven by a desire to deliver user experiences that other companies aspire to.

You will work with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to build progressive, bullet-proof, game-changing features for the Surfline apps.

Under Surfline’s “Work from Anywhere” policy, this position may be performed from anywhere in the UK.

What You'll Do:

1. Develop new features within a mid-sized team of iOS Engineers and a Product Manager.
2. Work with the latest Swift technologies and techniques.
3. Systematically debug apps to diagnose and fix issues with current and legacy projects.
4. Work on multiple Surfline apps, dedicating yourself to constantly learning and advancing your iOS development skills.
5. Solve challenging problems with clear and straightforward solutions using your engineering creativity.
6. Ship code frequently in a fast-paced agile environment with continuous deployment.
7. Contribute to product development, mission, and success beyond just completing development tasks.

What We're Looking For:

1. A BS or MS in Computer Science or a related degree.
2. Experience building complex applications for iOS devices using Swift.
3. Experience with iOS instrumentation & monitoring.
4. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, e.g., Bitrise, CircleCI, Jenkins.
5. Experience shipping and iterating on at least one app in the App Store.
6. Experience testing your work, from unit tests to UI tests.
7. Experience working within a modularized app environment.
8. Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
9. The ability to communicate effectively to a diverse audience.
