Job summary

Digital Skills ltd is seeking an experienced iOS Software Engineer to join a high-performing mobile team in Manchester. You will design, develop and maintain native iOS applications using Objective-C and Swift, delivering scalable, maintainable solutions and collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates will have strong UIKit and SwiftUI experience, be adept with large codebases, and contribute to architectural decisions while supporting automated testing and agile practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with UIKit and SwiftUI.
• Proven experience in large, complex mobile codebases.
• Solid mobile architecture pattern understanding and engineering best practices.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of lifecycle management and App Store deployment.
• Experience integrating APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation frameworks is beneficial.
• Experience with Fastlane, CocoaPods, Realm and Firebase is advantageous.
• Strong communication and agile team experience.

iOS Software Engineer | Objective-C, Swift, UIKit & SwiftUI

Up to £77 per hour (Inside IR35) Based on a 37.5-hour working week

Manchester - 2 days per week in the office, remote working otherwise

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled iOS Engineer with strong Objective-C expertise to join a high-performing mobile engineering team. You'll play a key role in developing new features, modernising existing functionality, and helping shape the technical direction of a widely used mobile application.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain native iOS applications using Objective-C and Swift.
