We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate IOM Recovery Coordinator - Drug & Alcohol Worker to join our multi-agency team working within the Integrated Offender Management (IOM) framework.

This pivotal role involves providing specialist substance misuse interventions to individuals involved in the criminal justice system who require structured support to break the cycle of offending.

You will be co-located across various settings, including probation offices, police stations, prisons, and community hubs, working closely with partner agencies such as the police, probation, health services, and voluntary sector providers.

Location: Hull

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 (full-time), pro rata for part-time

Contract: 12-month fixed-term

About the role
  • Deliver tailored substance misuse interventions to service users engaged in the IOM cohort.
  • Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop person-centred recovery plans.
  • Liaise and co-work with criminal justice partners, including probation officers, police IOM teams, courts, prisons, mental health, and other providers.
  • Participate in multi-agency case reviews, contributing to joint decision-making and coordinated support planning.
  • Provide assertive outreach and engagement to hard-to-reach or reluctant individuals.
  • Monitor progress, complete risk assessments, and contribute to safeguarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with service policies and data reporting requirements.
  • Abide by relevant policies and procedures and pass vetting and screening processes for effective multi-agency working.
About you
  • Excellent knowledge of drug and alcohol issues and experience working within criminal justice or related fields. Knowledge of behaviour change strategies and the cycle of change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good IT skills.
  • Proactive, able to work independently with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse professionals and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage change effectively, prioritising service user needs.
  • Understanding of information governance and safeguarding.
  • Willing to learn and contribute to professional development.
