Investments Manager (Construction / Property)

Craven Arms, Shropshire

£59,768.71 per annum

We have an opportunity to join our senior management team to lead and manage a variety of construction projects and implement annual single investment plans across the Connexus property portfolio. You’ll play a key role in evaluating, overseeing, and executing our strategic investments in accordance with our procurement, asset management, and affordable warmth strategies. With three Contract Managers reporting to you, you will manage the investment budgets to ensure expenditure remains within budgets, including monitoring the effectiveness of consultants and contractors in respect of delivery cost and quality of work. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of our capital investment programme, working collaboratively with stakeholders, contractors, and partners to enhance the quality of the housing stock. You’ll also manage the Connexus Asbestos Register, ensuring compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and providing necessary asbestos-related information to Repairs and Maintenance teams and external contractors prior to work commencement.

We are seeking a driven and accomplished professional with a strong background in construction and property maintenance. You will have substantial experience and a thorough understanding of building regulations, CDM regulations, and Health and Safety legislation, as well as knowledge of the Decent Homes and the current HCA Homes Standard. With exceptional project management skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to handle complex programmes within budget and deadlines, you’ll be an inspiring leader capable of developing high-performing teams and fostering lasting relationships. Proficiency in IT and excellent communication skills are essential for engaging effectively with stakeholders.
