Job summary

The Progeny Group Limited is expanding its Asset Management team with an Investment Support role within the Operations function. You will provide technical and operational support to the Investment Management process, handling data, reconciliations, change implementation and risk monitoring to ensure high-quality client outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical support to the Asset Management team, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring of investment activity.
• Complete holdings uploads and maintain investment, fund and portfolio data across systems.
• Undertake trade checking and escalate exceptions as appropriate.
• Support investment changes, maintaining records, evidence and audit trails.
• Perform fund and holdings reconciliations and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio drift and produce exception reporting for the Investment Management team.
• Produce, analyse and maintain investment data and reporting to support governance activities.
• Support investment risk monitoring through data collection and escalation of issues.
• Prepare investment committee materials and maintain action logs and governance records.
• Liaise with fund groups, platforms and administrators to resolve operational issues.
• Coordinate platform and investment operations issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Support continuous improvement of investment systems, controls and processes.

About the role

Progeny Asset Management provides investment management services across a range of funds, model portfolios and private client solutions. As we continue to invest in the growth and development of the business, we are expanding our Asset Management function through the creation of a dedicated Investment Support role within the Operations team.

As Investment Support, you will provide technical and operational support to the Investment Management function, helping to ensure the efficient implementation, monitoring and administration of investment activity across the business. Working closely with investment managers and key stakeholders, you will be responsible for investment data and reporting, reconciliations, investment change implementation, platform and third-party liaison, risk monitoring support and process improvement, helping to deliver a robust and scalable operating model that supports high-quality client outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide operational and technical support to the Asset Management team, ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of investment activity across Asset Management.
• Complete holdings uploads and maintain investment, fund and portfolio data across relevant systems and platforms.
• Undertake trade checking and other operational controls, investigating and escalating exceptions where appropriate.
• Support the implementation of approved investment changes, maintaining accurate records, evidence and audit trails.
• Perform fund and holdings reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and coordinating their resolution with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor portfolio drift against agreed parameters and produce exception reporting for the Investment Management team.
• Produce, analyse and maintain investment data, management information and reporting to support investment, operational and governance activities across Asset Management.
• Support investment risk monitoring activities through data collection, reporting, exception monitoring and escalation of identified issues.
• Prepare investment committee and governance committee materials, and maintain action logs and governance records.
• Liaise with fund groups, platforms, administrators and other third-party providers to obtain information, resolve operational issues and support ongoing oversight activities.
• Act as a point of coordination for platform and investment operational issues, ensuring timely investigation, escalation and resolution.
• Support the continuous improvement of investment systems, controls and processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, automation and data quality.
• Provide investment data and information to support client communications, collateral production and responses to client and adviser investment-related queries.

Our ideal person

• Experience gained within investment management, asset/portfolio management or Financial Services (desirable).
• Basic knowledge of investment markets.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
