Job summary

HSBC is seeking an experienced Investment Specialist to join the Global Asset Management Capital Solutions team in London. The role sits at the intersection of investments, product and distribution, shaping features, supporting fundraising and translating investment views into client-ready positioning.

You will work across private credit and structured solutions, partner with Sales and Client Coverage, and contribute to go-to-market deliverables while producing high-quality investment content

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our Global Asset Management Capital Solutions team in the role of Investment Specialist, where you’ll help champion and accelerate the growth of our Capital Solutions capability. You’ll sit at the intersection of investments, product and distribution—shaping product features, supporting fundraising, and translating investment views into clear client positioning. In this role you’ll:

• Partner with Institutional Sales and Client Coverage teams to support fundraising across existing and new strategies, driving AUM growth across client segments.
• Own and coordinate responses to technical DDQs, RFPs and bespoke client queries, ensuring accuracy, consistency and compelling positioning.
• Support the launch and execution of funds and one-off transactions (e.g., mandates), contributing to structuring decisions, documentation and go‑to‑market deliverables.
• Create and maintain high‑quality investment content and marketing collateral tailored by region and client segment (e.g., pitchbooks, whitepapers, opportunity notes).
• Conduct market and competitor research across private credit and adjacent markets, proactively translating insights into sales propositions and client‑ready narratives.
• Represent Capital Solutions strategies in pitches, roadshows and industry events, and support ongoing investor servicing through strong stakeholder coordination and timely follow‑up.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Proven understanding of alternative investment products and markets, with a particular focus on private credit and structured solutions.
• Technical product and investment capability to engage credibly with sophisticated stakeholders (clients, consultants, legal counsel and internal investment teams).
• Working knowledge of relevant topics such as insurance regulation (e.g., Solvency II), securitisation and/or bank products, and how these shape client needs and structures.
• Demonstrable ability to interpret complex information from multiple sources and communicate it succinctly, clearly and persuasively (written and verbal).
• Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and geographies (Investments, Product, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Finance, Sales).
• Highly organised and delivery‑focused—comfortable working to tight deadlines, prioritising effectively, and improving processes in a busy, evolving environment.
