Job Description:

Lead the Fixed Income Investment Risk team by managing the team responsible for analysing and managing the risks across the relevant Fixed Income Funds.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Managing the Fixed Income (FI) Investment Risk team.
2. Setting and executing the strategic direction of the FI and broader Investment Risk team.
3. Representing FI Investment Risk at key meetings and committees, engaging with stakeholders.
4. Undertaking risk analysis and discussing results with fund managers, team members, and senior management.
5. Ensuring adherence to internal investment risk guidelines and challenging where necessary.
6. Developing strong relationships with Fixed Income investment teams to drive risk-adjusted returns.
7. Collaborating on risk management process improvements.
8. Supporting business with quantitative analysis.
9. Working with product development to launch new products.
10. Supporting client initiatives and discussing risk management with investors and third parties.

Qualifications and skills needed:

1. A proactive self-starter with a good academic record in a quantitative field.
2. Experience in investment risk management, especially Fixed Income portfolios.
3. Understanding of financial markets and risk management techniques.
4. Knowledge of financial instruments and portfolio construction.
5. Familiarity with Fixed Income fund products and market trends.
6. Excellent communication skills for discussing risk issues.
7. Strong IT skills and risk management software knowledge.
