Job Description

The Investment Risk AVP will assess investment risk in Private Equity and Real Estate transactions across geographies through an in-depth analysis of macro, sector, industry, and asset-level factors. Responsibilities include:

• Presenting risk analysis on PE and RE acquisitions to the Investment Committee as part of due diligence and approval processes.
• Conducting portfolio risk assessments using macroeconomic research, industry analysis, sector deep dives, and peer comparisons across industries and geographies.
• Applying market and investment risk methodologies such as stress testing, scenario analysis, tail risk analysis, and VaR assessments across portfolios.
• Developing risk reports and presentations for governance committees, including the Board and balance sheet management committees.
• Maintaining and updating performance and risk metrics, ensuring dashboards are accurate and current.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in an asset manager or financial institution, with exposure to relevant asset classes, preferably private equity or real estate funds.
• Strong knowledge of financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and core financial concepts.
• Excellent research skills, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Interest in economics and financial markets, with the ability to relate market events to potential impacts.
• Attention to detail, focus on work quality, and project prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of data analytics, data mining, and working with large datasets (VBA, Python, SQL) and visualization tools (Power BI) is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills to clearly convey risk concepts and analytics.
