Energy Transition Zone (ETZ) Ltd is offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of Scotland’s energy transition.

ETZ Ltd is a private sector-led, not-for-profit organisation at the forefront of accelerating the energy transition in the Northeast of Scotland. Our mission is to create sustainable economic growth, build a globally competitive energy supply chain, and deliver long-term prosperity for the region, Scotland, and the UK.

With strategic support from both the UK and Scottish Governments and growing private sector engagement, ETZ Ltd is expanding its reach. We are now seeking to appoint a highly capable and motivated Investment Partnerships Manager to lead our corporate fundraising and partnership development agenda.

This newly created post will play a pivotal role in securing funding and sponsorship from private sector partners – from SMEs to major corporations – to support the delivery of high-impact energy transition projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of ETZ Ltd.’s private sector fundraising strategy, setting clear objectives to secure multi-level financial support from corporate partners.
• Proactively identify, engage and build long-term partnerships with organisations across the energy ecosystem — including developers, operators, supply chain businesses, and service providers.
• Secure funding and sponsorship from a diverse mix of partners – including small, medium and large enterprises – in support of key strategic initiatives such as: ETZ EnergyWorks, The Energy Transition Skills Hub, The Green Hydrogen Test & Demonstration Facility, Supply chain innovation and development programmes and Community wealth-building initiatives
• Prepare compelling investment cases, tailored proposals, and sponsorship packages that align with both ETZ’s objectives and the commercial or CSR goals of prospective partners.
• Collaborate closely with ETZ’s CFO and leadership team to ensure financial targets and project priorities are aligned.
• Maintain regular engagement with funding partners, providing clear reporting, impact updates and ongoing account management to ensure long-term support.
• Monitor market trends and emerging opportunities in energy transition and sustainable investment, adjusting fundraising activities accordingly.
• Represent ETZ Ltd externally at meetings, events, and forums, acting as a credible and professional ambassador for the organisation.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable experience in corporate fundraising, sponsorship development, partnership management or strategic business development.
• A proven track record of successfully securing private sector finance or sponsorship, ideally within a technical, commercial, or sustainability-focused environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to articulate value propositions to both corporate and community-minded audiences.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work with senior business leaders and public-sector stakeholders.
• Outstanding communication and proposal writing skills, with the ability to produce high-quality investment materials, presentations, and reports.

The successful applicant will be well-organised, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple partnerships and deadlines. Whilst it is not essential to have prior experience in the energy sector priority will be given to candidates possessing existing relevant industry knowledge and networks. Applicants should also ideally be Degree qualified, or possess equivalent professional experience.
