In this role, you will have the opportunity to explore many of ICG's private strategies, several of which have demonstrated significant growth. This is an exciting chance to dive into the details of the firm's transactions. To succeed in this position, you should have a strong understanding of Private Markets and be familiar with the documentation related to these transactions.
ICG Investment Operations Summary
The investment operations team is responsible for fund management support, transaction support, trade settlement and middle office functions across all ICG’s investment strategies and funds. This includes the interactions with portfolio managers and other internal teams, as well as the oversight of relevant services from outsource providers in support of these functions.
The Middle Office team is based in London, focusing on ensuring accurate capture of investments at inception and capturing lifecycle events (e.g. Add-ons, Drawdowns, restructures) . Additionally, the team looks at ICG PLC’s participation in investments (as a co-investor or a provider of warehousing funding). Our Investments span multiple geographies and strategies. The Middle Office Team is the main point of contact for various internal (Deal Teams, Fund Accountants, Loans Operations, Legal, CIO and Group Finance) and external stakeholders (lawyers, sponsors).
Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
Reviewing investment related documents in their draft form and providing comments
Liaising with Deal Teams and internal and external lawyers, providing comments from operational point of view and ensuring that documents reflect ICG’s best practice.
Facilitating smooth transactions completion
Arranging documents signing if required (directly or by Proxies), organising investment related payments and providing any other assistance that the deal team or Fund Finance might require
Extracting and collecting relevant information and creating investment summary sheet
Reviewing investment related documents and collating economic information necessary for booking, working closely with Deal Teams, Fund Accountants, Group Finance and CIO ensuring that the full economics of the investments are captured.
Responding to queries
All queries coming from Deal Teams, CIO, Group Finance and Fund Accountants that relate to potential data inaccuracy in the system and making sure that corrective action is taken by Loans Operations
Actively participating in initiatives, projects and deal lifecycle meetings with CIO
Taking active role on behalf of Private Middle Office in various initiatives and projects with the aim of improving existing process and efficiency
Organising monthly and / or weekly meetings with CIO in order to provide updates regarding booking status, potential delays and to establish priorities
Key Requirements/ Qualifications
You will have demonstrable experience of:
Essential
Solid knowledge of Private Market investment documents and associated investment structures
Good understanding of deal lifecycle events and complex fund structures. (Luxembourg Structures knowledge would be an advantage)
Experience in a similar role within an Asset Manager (or similar)
Personal Attributes
Strong communication/presentation skills – the role involves efficient coordination of cross-functional teams/departments across both ICG and external providers.
Demonstration of creative problem solving / process improvements / building relationships with key business stakeholders.
Analytical with attention to detail, highly organised and results focused.
Driven, resilient, able to work under pressure to tight timelines and independently with various projects/deals simultaneously at any given time.
Able to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a part of team
Qualifications
Batchelors Degree
Tax / Accounting qualifications are a strong plus
European languages are a strong plus
