Job summary

Mercer is hiring an Investment Operations Analyst to support the MRML DIU Valuations and Performance Analytics Team in a hybrid role based in Greater London. You will produce accurate internal fund valuations for a variety of instruments and collaborate with portfolio managers to support trading, risk, and performance reporting.

Ideal candidates will have middle/back office experience, strong Excel skills and a keen interest in investments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a middle/back office role in asset or risk management, custodian or fund administrator.
• Affinity with investments and a desire to learn more.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Good knowledge of Excel and data handling.
• Organisational skills with ability to meet multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Produce valuations accurately and timely to support portfolio trading and NAV sign-offs.
• Understand a wide variety of instruments (Fixed Income, Futures, OTC Swaps, FX Forwards, Hedge Funds, UCITs, Private Equity).
• Validate performance contribution at instrument level and explain results to Portfolio Managers and external parties.
• Oversee Fund Administrators to ensure internal data aligns with official NAVs and reports.
• Work as part of a team with rotating processes to meet deliverables.
