Job summary

Handelsbanken is seeking an Investment Manager for a 9-month secondment/FTC in London. You will contribute to equity research, tactical asset allocation, and portfolio construction within a multi-asset context, while supporting client retention and new business opportunities.

The role combines research, portfolio management, client engagement and thought leadership, with opportunities to influence investment frameworks and participate in client-facing content.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Finance, Economics, Investment Management, or related discipline.
• ESG qualification (e.g., CFA ESG or equivalent).
• Experience in investment management or research.
• Strong knowledge of global equity markets.
• Proven analytical and investment research skills.
• Ability to present to clients and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct top-down research and analysis into global equity investment opportunities.
• Undertake searches and due diligence on funds and securities for equity tilts.
• Generate investment recommendations for the Investment Committee on equity views.
• Contribute to Strategic Asset Allocation and Tactical Asset Allocation discussions.
• Monitor market developments, economic trends and regulatory changes.
• Support enhancement of investment frameworks and portfolio processes.
• Assist in management of Multi Asset Funds and client portfolios.
• Present investment ideas to clients and drive business development.

They also act as a key representative of the business, supporting client retention, new business acquisition, and thought leadership activities.
