Job description

Join a close-knit investment team within a family office, focused on sourcing and managing early-stage and late-stage private equity co-investments across sectors such as fintech, financial services, online gaming, and lead generation. With a small investment team you will make a difference and gain rapid experience being working close and being part of the decision making team.

Key Responsibilities

Early-Stage Investments:

  • Build trusted relationships with portfolio company leadership.
  • Identify and execute strategic and operational value-add initiatives (e.g., bolt-ons, internal resource deployment).
  • Lead deal sourcing, due diligence, structuring, and execution.
  • Manage investment reporting and performance tracking.
  • Support portfolio companies with fundraising, strategic partnerships, and financial planning.
  • Prepare marketing materials (Teasers, IMs) for third-party investors.

Co-Investments:

  • Source, assess, and recommend private equity co-investment deals.
  • Track and report on performance, drawdowns, and distributions.
  • Offer opportunities to network clients and manage investment materials.

Detailed Duties Include:

  • Market and competitor analysis, financial modelling, company valuation.
  • Negotiation and drafting of transaction documents (term sheets, shareholder agreements).
  • Cap table and KPI management.
  • Strategy advisory, recruitment support, and board participation.
  • Ongoing liaison with founders, directors, shareholders, and investors.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Chartered Accountant (ideally with a postgraduate qualification in Business or Management).
  • 4–5 years of UK VC deal execution experience with a strong track record.
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Expertise in fintech and financial services sectors.
  • Strong communication, execution, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with both equity and debt deal documentation.
  • Deep network in the UK VC market.
