Finance Department
The Finance Department supports the organisation’s strategic and financial objectives by providing robust financial planning, analysis and reporting. Working closely with teams across the business, the department delivers clear, data-driven insight to support investment decisions, business planning and performance management.
The team plays a central role in evaluating development and investment opportunities, bringing together financial, commercial, operational and market information to assess expected returns, key risks and alignment with the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Position Overview
The Investment Analyst / Manager provides investment underwriting, financial modelling and decision support for HSCALE’s development portfolio and strategic growth plans. The role assesses project economics across the full development lifecycle, from site selection and land acquisition through permitting, customer contracting, construction and Ready for Service. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the role forms part of the Finance function but has a broader enterprise-wide remit. It works closely with Development, Commercial, Strategy and Operations to bring together financial, commercial, operational and market inputs, challenge underlying assumptions and establish a consistent view of investment performance, risk and value creation. The position has regular exposure to the CFO, CCO, CDO, the wider C-suite and relevant investment and decision-making forums. In addition to supporting site planning, forecasting, budgeting and management reporting, the role leads scenario analysis and ad hoc modelling on matters such as power, construction costs, commercial performance, new site launches and expansion opportunities.
