Job description

Investment Manager – Venture Capital

Do you wish to advance your career into the exciting world of Investing and work with one of the leading Venture Capital houses outside of London?

If so then please read on.

Our client is a well established Venture Capital/Investment House specialising in investments in the lower Mid Market and early stage companies. Due to continued growth within their investments they are looking to expand their team with an Investment Associate/Manager into the East Midlands, Buckinghamshire areas.

The successful candidate may come from a deals background, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services for instance but equally may come from a strategy/management consulting background or indeed some sort of technology or sciences background would definitely be considered. Private Equity or Venture Capital would obviously be a strong background but not essential by any means.

The key thing is you must have a strong educational record, ideally (but not essential) with some background in technology, sciences, or engineering sectors so have an understanding of those areas and how businesses work within them. The investing principles can then be taught from there.

You will come into a broad role supporting the Senior Investment Managers/Directors with:-

  • Deal origination and marketing.
  • Assessing business plans and potential investment opportunities.
  • Meeting potential clients to explore investment opportunities.
  • Preparing Investment Committee proposals.
  • Completing due diligence - including legal, financial and commercial.
  • Completing legal documentation.
  • Portfolio management.

Our client sees the next few years as being an exciting time with high levels of profitability, both in the short and long term. The successful candidate will be rewarded with an excellent salary package with exceptional bonuses and carry.
