Our client

A highly regarded international law firm seeks an experienced Funds Senior Associate to join their top-tier funds practice in London. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to work with a diverse client base and contribute to the continued success of this leading team.

Position Overview

As a Funds Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional legal services to the firm's clients, which include both new start-up managers and established international financial institutions. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of GP and LP side work, as well as secondaries, collaborating closely with the firm's international funds group and other specialist teams across the UK, Europe and beyond.

Responsibilities include:

  • Advise clients on fund formation, including private equity, credit, venture, real estate and infrastructure funds, as well as closed and open-ended structures
  • Provide LP-side advice on fund and co-investment investments, and secondaries
  • Draft and negotiate legal documents related to fund formation and investment
  • Collaborate with the firm's international network and specialist teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development efforts
  • Raise the profile of both you and the firm through thought leadership and industry engagement

Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience gained at a leading law firm
  • Strong focus on funds and investment management
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide practical, commercial advice
  • Broad experience in fund formation across various asset classes, LP-side advice and secondaries
  • Sound judgement, strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with colleagues across the firm's network
