Location: Central London

A prestigious, international single-family office headquartered in London is seeking a dynamic Investment Director. This role requires deep expertise in private markets and a broad understanding of multi-asset class investing, backed by a strong professional network.
The successful candidate will bring 7–10 years of buy-side experience from family offices or asset managers overseeing $3bn+ in AUM. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-calibre team responsible for managing a global, diversified portfolio spanning private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, public equities, fixed income, and direct investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help shape and refine the private markets strategy, including private equity and venture capital.
  • Contribute to investment decisions across all asset classes within a multi-asset portfolio.
  • Lead and improve due diligence and ongoing monitoring processes for private investments.
  • Conduct deep-dive assessments of private equity fund managers and generate well-reasoned investment recommendations.
  • Track, evaluate, and enhance portfolio performance and risk exposure.
  • Build and nurture relationships with fund managers, co-investors, family offices, and key advisors.

Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a senior buy-side role with a focus on private and public market investments.
  • Background in family offices, institutional asset managers (AUM $3bn+), or private equity firms.
  • Proven expertise in managing diversified portfolios, including construction, allocation, and performance tracking.
  • Direct experience in fund investing across private equity and venture capital.
  • Strong analytical mindset and structured approach to investment analysis and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to simplify and articulate complex ideas.
  • A well-developed network of investment partners, including GPs, LPs, and co-investors.
  • Self-driven, with the ability to operate independently while collaborating closely with a small, high-performance team.
