Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom seeks a senior leader to head the UK Investment & Analytics function, driving portfolio valuation, pricing, acquisition strategy, underwriting, and performance optimisation.

You will lead advanced analytics, forecasting, financial modelling, and governance, while shaping capital deployment and engaging Executive Leadership and Investment Committees on opportunities, risks, and market trends.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience across investment, credit management, financial services, banking, debt purchasing, or asset-backed investment environments.
• Proven success leading portfolio valuation, pricing, due diligence, and investment decision making using sophisticated financial and analytical models.
• Deep expertise in analytics, including AI, forecasting, data science, performance insight, and using data to drive commercial outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence executive stakeholders, investment committees, and board-level decision making.
• Experience operating within regulated environments, with a strong understanding of governance, risk management, and FCA requirements.

• Lead due diligence, valuation, negotiation support, and investment recommendations
• Provide strategic recommendations to Executive Leadership and Investment Committees on portfolio opportunities, risks, market trends, and performance
• Lead advanced analytics, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance reporting
• Ensure governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and disciplined capital deployment
• Develop and inspire high-performing investment and analytics teams
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, governance, FCA, and Consumer Duty requirements
• Shape UK investment strategy and influence capital allocation decisions as a member of the Executive Team

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience across purchase investment, credit management, financial services, banking, debt purchasing, or asset-backed investment environments
• Proven success leading portfolio valuation, pricing, due diligence, and investment decision making using sophisticated financial and analytical models
• Deep expertise in analytics, including AI, forecasting, data science, performance insight, and using data to drive commercial outcomes
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence executive stakeholders, investment committees, and board-level decision making
• Experience operating within regulated environments, with a strong understanding of governance, risk management, and FCA requirements
• Proven track record of delivering analytical transformation, process optimisation, and capability development initiatives
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience building, developing, and retaining high-performing analytical and commercial teams
• Must meet the requirements of the UK Senior Managers Certification Regime
• English CV required
• Must pass credit, fraud, criminal record, right-to-work, and reference checks
• Must not be bankrupt or have outstanding county court judgments
• Must not have excessive default balances; outstanding debt considered case‑by‑case
