Job summary

Orbis Investment Management Limited is seeking a Data Business Analyst to join London operations. You will work across Investment, Operations and Client pillars to translate data needs into clear, build-ready requirements for architects and engineers.

You will establish data quality definitions, collaborate with data owners, and support discovery, scoping and delivery across a portfolio of initiatives as the platform evolves.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Business Analyst delivering data or technology projects, ideally in investment management or capital markets.
• Translate business needs into clear, well-scoped functional and technical data requirements.
• Experience with data pipelines, data quality, governance and agile delivery is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Discovery & Definition: Engage data owners to understand business and data needs and capture clear, structured requirements.
• Scoping & Delivery Support: Define scope, sequence work, articulate trade-offs and support testing and user acceptance.
• Platform Enablement & Adoption: Evaluate and deliver data capabilities (quality, catalogue, metadata, MDM, observability) and drive adoption through documentation and training.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data quality, traceability and delivery and promote a data product mindset.
