A leading hedge fund in London is seeking a skilled analyst for their investment data management function. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in market data management and strong SQL skills, with a solid understanding of financial markets. This business-critical role offers a competitive salary range of £60-100k plus potential bonuses and an exceptional benefits package.
Our client, a market leading hedge fund, are looking to add a highly skilled analyst as part of a global investment data management function build out.
The hedge fund has been at the cutting edge of investment management and technology globally, and over the last 2 years has undertaken a major initiative to rebuild and up-scale their investment data management platform. Facing off to leading investment managers and working directly with best in class data engineers, the will be tasked with ensuring an accurate securities set up to streamline and improve trading processes, whilst working on projects to broaden the firms securities universe through a range of projects (from the migration to a new centralised reference data master, to setting up data pipelines for new investment strategies). The hire will also work to manage data operations using his/her SQL skills, whilst working with the engineering team to build novel and bespoke instruments to be used by investment desks and take responsibility for continuous process improvement of daily operational procedures and controls as well as investigating any incidents.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5yrs market data management / investment data experience, strong exposure to financial markets / products and SQL skills (Python skills are preferred, albeit not a pre-requisite, as they can be developed in the role). Candidates must bring a strong understanding of exchange data and data management vendors. The expectation is for candidates to have a strong academic record (STEM / finance focused).
This is a business-critical hire as part of a global team build out, so rather than set a base salary budget, the firm are committed to offering the successful hire a significant increase in his/her current fixed salary (hence why the banding is quoted as £60-100k).
