Job description

Role Purpose:

We have a great opportunity for an Investment Data Analyst to enhance the Data Office’s Investment data analysis capabilities by driving improvements in the data quality, promoting the adoption of modern investment data management technologies and supporting the overarching Data Governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders in the Investment business to investigate, analyse and help remediate data issues.
  • Participate and lead Data Governance workshops and forums building reports and dashboards to present MI to the business on progress.
  • Work with the business to identify and support Data Owners, Stewards and Custodians.
  • Engage in the review of data policies and standards.
  • Work closely with technology in delivering solutions for data issues.

Knowledge, experience, skills and abilities (technical competencies)

You must have worked in the financial services industry.

Technical

  • Ideally a Data Analyst with a good understanding Fixed Income financial instruments, Swaps & Derivatives and associated data.
  • Familiarity with common reporting and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Data Management tools, MS Excel, Power BI, DQ analysis tools) and drive to upskill.
  • Industry expertise in the handling and usage of Market, Pricing, Custodial, and Positional data is desirable
  • Basic understanding of Data Governance practices, policies and standards.

Personal

  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data, understand business and technology processes, and read code to identify the root causes of data issues quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills with business stakeholders and able to build relationships across the organisation.
  • Experience analysing data from investment platforms is desirable
