About the role

As an Investment Control Analyst, you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset.

This role offers a great opportunity to work with USSIM teams to ensure appropriate balance between investment guidelines and oversight for investment mandates, with well-designed and suitable monitoring controls.

What you will be doing

As part of Investment Product Management, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with investment desks, Financial Risk, compliance, legal, and operations teams to design and implement mandate guidelines and monitoring controls.
  • Overseeing daily monitoring of Bloomberg rules, investigating and resolving control issues or breaches.
  • Maintaining and updating the investment rules repository to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • Leading the implementation and oversight of USS scheme-wide investment exclusions.
  • Supporting the Best Execution and Research Review Committee through preparation, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Monitoring trade overrides, amendments, breaches, waivers, ensuring proper escalation and documentation.
  • Enhancing governance processes, policies, and documentation for robust investment monitoring.
  • Reporting on mandate costs and charges, ensuring transparency and compliance.
