Investment Capability Manager
Goodman Masson London, United Kingdom Apply now

We're seeking an experienced Investment Capability Manager to lead front-office change projects within a leading investment management environment. This role is all about delivering new tools, systems, and processes that enable portfolio managers and research teams to perform at their best. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll manage the full project lifecycle - from gathering requirements to implementation and adoption - with a strong focus on front-office systems such as FactSet

The Role
We are looking for a skilled Investment Capability Manager to lead strategic change initiatives within a front-office environment. The position focuses on enhancing investment capabilities, delivering new tools and systems, and improving processes that support portfolio managers, research analysts, and other key stakeholders.
You will be responsible for managing complex, cross-functional projects that impact the entire investment lifecycle — from research and portfolio construction through to execution and governance. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong coordination skills, technical understanding of investment platforms, and the ability to work closely with senior leadership.
What You’ll Do
• Deliver front-office change projects from concept through to successful implementation and adoption

• Collaborate with investment teams to understand needs and translate them into actionable solutions

• Implement and optimise investment systems and data tools such as FactSet, Bloomberg, Snowflake, Alteryx, and Power BI

• Strengthen product governance frameworks, risk processes, and data infrastructure within the investment function

• Work with technology, change, and operational teams to ensure aligned project delivery across the business

• Monitor progress, budgets, and timelines while proactively managing risks and dependencies

• Ensure solutions are fully embedded, with documentation and training provided to stakeholders

Skills & Experience We’re Looking For
• Solid track record in project or change management within an investment or wealth management setting

• Strong understanding of front-office investment processes and research workflows

• Experience working with investment tools such as FactSet and Bloomberg, plus familiarity with data solutions like Snowflake, Alteryx, and Power BI

• Recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) is desirable

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and analytical in approach

• Proficient in Excel, MS Project, and other core Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Background
• Experience delivering technology or process change within a front-office investment environment

• Exposure to product governance and regulatory frameworks in asset management

• Comfortable managing multiple projects with complex stakeholder landscapes
