Senior Associate / Vice President - Investment Banking (Power, Utilities & Infrastructure)

About the Firm:

A globally recognized investment bank with a strong presence in London is seeking a talented and driven Senior Associate or Vice President to join its Power, Utilities & Infrastructure (PUI) team. The firm is known for its entrepreneurial culture, deep sector expertise, and strong track record in advising on complex transactions across the energy transition, regulated utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

Role Overview:

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team focused on executing M&A and capital markets transactions across the PUI space. The successful candidate will play a key role in deal execution, client engagement, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the execution of M&A, debt, and equity financing transactions.
  • Develop and review detailed financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, trading comps).
  • Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and transaction documentation.
  • Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support strategic recommendations.
  • Mentor and manage junior bankers, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables.
  • Engage in client meetings, due diligence processes, and negotiations.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to strategic growth of the PUI franchise.

Key Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in investment banking, ideally with exposure to the PUI or broader infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong technical proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring.
  • Proven experience in executing M&A and/or capital markets transactions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and leadership potential.
  • Fluency in English; additional European languages are advantageous.
