The Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program in London offers an opportunity to work on high profile transactions as part of BMO’s leading global metals & mining franchise across a range of products (buy-side and sell-side M&A, ECM, and leveraged finance). You will have direct exposure to live transactions, exposure to senior professionals and our diverse client base, and receive focused training and mentoring to support your continued career development.

Program details

Our London-based Summer Analyst Program is a ten-week program, providing deep and diverse exposure to our full range of investment banking products across our current suite of advisory and financing mandates, as a fully-integrated member of our team in support of our clients. Following a formal orientation, the program will be an on-the-job experience, including the opportunity to network across various business groups, getting to know BMO Capital Markets, and participating in training and learning seminars.

Developing your knowledge

A key focus of the program is to develop your skills and knowledge over a ten-week period. Successful Summer Analysts will be considered for the full-time BMO Capital Markets Investment and Corporate Banking Analyst Program, which commences in July 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Directly supporting our team across its current suite of live advisory and financing mandates
  • Company & industry research and analysis
  • A detailed introduction to financial modelling
  • Drafting and finalising advisory presentations to deliver on our clients’ needs
  • Working and supporting the team with ad hoc requests
  • Attend team meetings, workshops and other development components of the program
