Overview

Job Description

We are currently looking for a junior Analyst to join our Communications, Media & Entertainment sector team. This will be to work on preparing market analysis, strategic analysis and valuation/financial modelling for clients in the communications infrastructure sector, as well as advising clients on their strategy and the successful implementation of transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting in execution of mandated deals
  • Assisting in preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
  • Gathering public information through numerous sources
  • Creating financial model analyses
  • Analysing company performance on an absolute and relative basis
  • Drafting marketing documents for clients
  • Producing and maintaining various databases
  • General research
What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Candidates should have some knowledge of financial services, accounting and regulatory capital through their current employment
  • An understanding of the communications infrastructure sector, the key players, strategic dynamics as well as the current issues facing the sector
  • Sound judgement, particularly in valuation matters, with strong analytical skills
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients at all levels
  • Rigorous work ethic and willingness to invest time required to meet deadlines while completing assignments accurately
  • Knowledge of Investment Banking services and the ability to apply them creatively to diverse client needs
  • Advanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Some information source experience: Bloomberg, Reuters, Thomson Financial

Nice to have

  • Additional European language skills
  • CFA level 1, 2 or 3 or ACA is desirable
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
