Job description

The VP in Energy Investment Banking is a senior level position responsible for assisting clients in raising funds in the capital markets, as well as providing strategic advisory services for mergers, acquisitions, and other financial transactions in coordination with the Institutional Banking team. The overall objective is to act as a strategic advisor by formulating investment strategies and raising capital for clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assume significant responsibility for project and transaction execution, new business development, and overall growth of the firm.
  2. Work closely with clients on financing transactions, guiding them through the capital raising process, including leading due diligence, drafting sessions, and preparing for equity or debt offerings.
  3. Collaborate with clients, senior team members, and outside advisors on M&A and special situation transactions.
  4. Draft situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, investor and management presentations, and oversee work by analysts and associates.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry, specifically Banking.
  • Degree in Finance or related Business Administration field.
  • MBA or Master's preferred.
  • Knowledge of corporate banking products, regulations, and credit processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with large corporate clients and financial products such as capital markets, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance, and securities.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
