POSITION:

We are looking for an Investment Associate to be based in the United Kingdom to identify and grow our portfolio of acquired businesses as we expand our footprint in the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, driven, focused, and dynamic individual with effective business-to-business prospecting and pitching skills. This position requires a confident, charismatic, innovative and business-minded person who can generate and nurture leads, while overcoming objections effectively – not necessarily and out and out sales person but moreover a curious, inquisitive mindset with a consultative approach.

Location: The UK-based Investment Associate will work remotely from anywhere within the UK.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct industry and competitive research to identify vertical market software businesses that meet our strategic criteria and specific metrics

Engage with business owners, shareholders and senior executives regarding the potential acquisition of their business

Develop and grow a deal pipeline through outbound prospecting efforts i.e. email, phone, LinkedIn, conferences, trade shows and professional contacts while engaging regularly with existing leads in our database

Manage database of current, new and stale prospects and keep them current via reporting and pipeline management techniques

Make recommendations to the senior leadership team of Jonas to pursue new targets and enter new and adjacent markets, based on our aggressive appetite for accelerated growth

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated and committed success in cold calling, prospecting and sales processes

Proven experience in software sales or business development at an investment banking or boutique M&A broker/advisor

Desired bachelor’s degree in business administration, business or a related qualification

Prior software or technology sales experience in a business to business environment or business development in Mergers and Acquisitions is an asset

Knowledge of Salesforce is an asset.

Must be self-motivated, have organisational agility with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be able to set and monitor personal performance goals

Requires excellent listening skills and tenacity in progressing leads to offer stage

Have a positive attitude and work ethic with a strong drive for results

Process driven with strong analytical, problem solving, organisational and presentation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A team player with Strong interpersonal interaction skills

Ability to understand software businesses and their strategies
