Investment Associate – Renewables & Clean Technology

We are partnering with a global investment firm that is building out its renewables and clean technology platform. They are seeking an Investment Associate to join the team and take a hands-on role across sourcing, execution, and portfolio management.

The Opportunity

As an Associate, you will contribute to every stage of the investment cycle, from origination, market evaluation, and due diligence through to value creation and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and sector analysis across renewables and clean technology.
  • Build and run financial models, including DCF, LBO, and scenario analyses (IRR, sensitivity).
  • Evaluate new investment opportunities, providing commercial insight on the energy transition.
  • Draft investment papers and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
  • Partner with external advisors to support all aspects of transaction execution.
  • Assist in monitoring portfolio companies, tracking performance, and assessing impact.
Candidate Profile
  • 2–6 years’ experience in investment banking, infrastructure funds, corporate finance, or a related investment/transactional role.
  • Advanced financial modelling and technical skills (Excel/VBA essential; Python desirable).
  • Solid understanding of energy or infrastructure sectors, with renewables exposure preferred.
  • Commercially minded, curious, and purpose-driven with a strong interest in the energy transition.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working independently with responsibility.
