Having developed and built in excess of 700MWp BSR are a major contributor to the UK Renewable Energy Sector.

What we offer:

We’re building a community of passionate individuals committed to shaping the future; providing the chance to work on cutting-edge projects in the renewable energy sector. Offering a culture where collaboration and inclusivity thrive alongside opportunities for professional growth and development. Join a team making a real difference.

What will you be doing in this role?

As an Investment Associate at BSR, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and driving transaction execution, complex financial modelling, investment analysis, and business development activities across the full project lifecycle — from origination and M&A to financial close. The role bridges analytical and strategic responsibilities, serving as a key contributor to both day-to-day project work and broader investment initiatives.

You will work closely with internal teams including Development, Legal, Technical, Finance, and Senior Leadership, as well as with external advisors and stakeholders. This is a dynamic, hands-on role ideal for candidates looking to take the next step in their investment career in a growing renewables business.

What we need from you:

  • Develop, maintain and own complex financial models for greenfield and acquisition opportunities.
  • Support the execution and negotiation of transactions, including due diligence, valuation, structuring, and financing.
  • Produce and present Investment Committee and Board papers, and address inquiries from management and shareholders.
  • Prepare financial analysis and commercial input for offers in formal and informal bidding processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure investment decisions are robust and well-informed.
  • Conduct market and project-specific research to inform investment strategy and business development.
  • Support the assessment and execution of revenue and debt strategies.
  • Liaise with external advisors, including legal, technical, and financial consultants.
  • Mentor and support analysts, reviewing their work and assisting with their development.

What skills will you have?

  • Experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or a similar transaction-focused environment.
  • Strong financial modelling skills, with a track record of building and managing complex project finance models, including VBA.
  • Proven exposure to deal execution, due diligence processes, and financial structuring.
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical thinking, with the ability to interpret financial data to support strategic decisions.
  • Degree in business, economics, accounting, mathematics, engineering or related discipline; MBA, CFA, or other financial qualification preferred.
  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels and working collaboratively across departments.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • Prior experience in the renewable energy, infrastructure, or energy sectors is desirable but not essential.

What you will get from BSR:

  • Monthly social events, such as team lunches, breakfasts, volunteering and a Christmas and Summer party.
  • Our Hybrid Working Policy allows you to work from home up to three days a week.
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption policies.
  • An annual bonus scheme which rewards you for all of your hard work.
  • A referral scheme for when you refer someone to work at BSR.
  • Supporting you beyond work with our Employee Assistance Programme offering 24/7 support.
  • BSR will fund one professional membership per annum.
  • 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays, with the option to roll over up to 5 days.
  • Long Service Recognition Scheme
  • Private Health insurance after completion of 3-month probation period.
  • Life insurance
  • Pension
