We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Investment Associate.


In this role, you will:

  1. Investment Research & Analysis: Conduct market research, financial analysis, and company assessments to support investment decision-making.
  2. Due Diligence & Financial Modeling: Assist in investment due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation exercises to evaluate opportunities.
  3. Deal Support & Execution: Support senior team members in preparing investment papers, managing approval processes, and tracking transactions.
  4. Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting: Assist in tracking financial and strategic performance of portfolio companies and preparing internal reports.
  5. Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement: Support the team in identifying and evaluating new commercial opportunities within HSBC’s business lines.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  1. Foundational Transaction Experience: Exposure to private equity, M&A, or venture capital, with hands-on experience in financial modeling and due diligence.
  2. Financial & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze financial statements, assess business models, and evaluate investment opportunities.
  3. Research & Communication: Ability to conduct industry research, summarize key insights, and present findings effectively.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to work with both internal HSBC teams and external investors or startups.
  5. Passion for Technology & Innovation: Interest in emerging technologies, startups, and the future of financial services.
